I love baseball (Go Guardians!) and hockey (Let's go Red Wings!). My favorite author is Stephen King (ironically, his non-fiction On Writing is one of my favorite books). St. Pete Beach, Florida is one of my favorite places in the world. I’m a Mac. Photography is a hobby and a creative outlet. I have two sons, two cats, and a dog. My wife is my closest friend. I’m pretty sure I’m addicted to ice cream.

What's with the "J"? My first name is James, but if you call me that or 'Jim', I'll think you're looking for my dad. I've been 'Matt' my entire life. But, in the early 2000s, I realized the 'j' worked well in the then-new age of internet domains and usernames. So I've been @jmattbuchanan everywhere since then. But please, call me Matt.
